t was a rainy Thursday afternoon; I ended up going Ulta store at Bay Plaza Mall in Bronx, NY. Ulta wasn’t as busy; therefore, I took advantage and went since I needed a full coverage foundation. I tried on a couple of foundation, thanks to the beauty advisor she matched my mother and me. I found the right one for me which is the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear SPF 15 Foundation which retails for $47.00. I went in there for a couple of things like a full coverage foundation, perfume, and Mac Cosmetics Original Fix Plus. I did end up getting those items minus the fragrance but adding on a full day of pampering plus some extras.
I purchased the liquid foundation in Suede 450N and the Dual Finish Multi-Tasking Powder Foundation in Suede 450N for my mother, which retails for $40.00. Although I bought it for my mother, I use it as well to complete my look with the liquid foundation. The powder can be used wet or dry, but I use it dry with a powder brush from BH Cosmetics called ” Rose Gold 15 Piece Cosmetic Brush Set with Pouch.” Ulta has salon services as well. You would usually have to make an appointment, but since it wasn’t as busy as it often would be, the hairstylist took me in right away.
I had honey hair, which was a beautiful color, but it was dry by the bleach that was used in another salon. I decided to dye it back to black, which is extremely close to my natural hair color. Honestly, their dye was terrific. It didn’t dry out my hair at all, it didn’t burn, and the hairstylist used a black color oil-based dye. Ulta uses Redken hair care products. I have curly hair, and Redken has a curly hair care line. The curly hair care line from Redken was what the hairstylist used to wash, condition, and style my hair. My hair curls are better; it is shiny, hydrated, and healthy.
